Long Time No See!

Haha, so apparently I'm doing well at keeping up our blog already :) No excuses . . . it just didn't happen. But its been a fun week -- starting this last week I don't have work anymore (for the remainder of the summer) because I have to complete a study for my major. I'm still in the planning/preparing/needing things to get approved phase of the project, but will probably have things going in the next couple of weeks. I'm studying crafting and how it helps people create an identity (or something along those lines). I'll be gathering information from a lot of crafting blogs, so if there are any in particular that you know of that you like to read, please let me know what they are so I can look them up!

Brent has been working full time at Middlebury Interactive (they do virtual language courses) doing accounts payable and has been working hard with his church calling to get things organized with our new ward. About a month ago, our stake and ward boundaries were aligned, so about 2/3 of our ward changed and its been a mess trying to get callings filled and records set right.

We decided to take advantage of Utah's free fishing day this last Saturday and went up Provo Canyon to Deercreek Resevoir. It was fun to spend some time together and FINALLY have some sun to relax in . . . but we didn't catch a single fish :( Alas! I brought my camera along to play with a bit, mostly because I wanted to learn a little bit more about the video capabilities on my camera. I have a lot to learn and my focusing was a little wonky at times, but here's a quick little video I did playing around while Brent was tying a bubble on my fishing line (I know, fascinating, right?):

And thanks to Louis and Bing for the music! :) (Gone Fishing by Louis Armstrong and Bing Crosby)
