Halloween day we went with Brent's parents, who were in town, to visit family in the Woodlands for a birthday lunch (one of Brent's cousins). It was so fun being with family and having my in-laws here to celebrate the babies' first holiday with us. Clara was so excited for trick-or-treating . . . until after her nap that day. She woke up on the wrong side of the bed and refused to get into her costume and didn't want to go anywhere. Somehow we finally convinced her to get into her witch outfit, we left the babies at home with their grandparents, and Brent and I took Clara out trick-or-treating with our good friends. She ended up having so much fun and loved getting all of the candy (of course!).
