Then we celebrated with friends a couple of days later with a big birthday party. I had a lot of fun planning it for her and love how it turned out. I wanted to keep the theme simple and girly, so we had a 'botanical/floral' themed party.

Clara's First Birthday Party
Holy cow a year goes fast! We celebrated Clara's birthday with Grandma and Papa Hulet, who were visiting us in Houston, with presents in the morning, a trip to the zoo in the afternoon (Clara was so fascinated with all the animals! She was cute to watch!), and birthday cake after dinner. I felt like it was the perfect day and Clara seemed to really enjoy the day, even though she had no idea that it was any different than other days :)

So pretty Chelsy! It looks like Clara had a fun day. I can't get over that she is walking already and it looks like she has quite a few teeth. She's so adorable!
